Hainan publicly destroys more than 270,000 infringing and pirated products and illegal publications

On September 26th, the office of the Leading Group for "Smelling and Combating Democracy in Hainan Province" held the "2018 Hainan Provincial Infringement and Piracy and Illegal Publications Centralized Destruction Campaign" in front of the Provincial Library Plaza, destroying more than 270,000 infringement and piracy and illegal publications.

According to reports, for a long time, various cities and counties in Hainan and the relevant departments have effectively implemented the principles of “territorial management” and “who is in charge and who are responsible”. Work measures such as strengthening Internet management, striving to cut off the source of production and sales, rigorously investigating major cases, establishing and improving long-term mechanisms and joint defense cooperation mechanisms, and creating a good cultural market environment.

Since April last year, the province has seized more than 390,000 illegal publications of various types and deleted more than 470,000 pieces of online bad information, which have been well received by all sectors of society. The items destroyed this time were seized by law enforcement officials from culture, public security, industry and commerce, customs and other departments in various crackdowns.
